Hi Rajeev

You can create outbound delivery either manually or automatic( PPF )  from outbound delivery Order.

Its not necessary that only it trigger after completion of goods issue.Check the link.

Outbound Delivery - Delivery Processing - SAP Library

Manual Creation Procedure:

Select the line item and click the button Outbound delivery.

ODfromODO.png

Automatic procedure: Activate PPF ( Create Outbound Delivery) in outbound delivery Order

Note: Outbound delivery will only create after fully quantity pick.

Please let us know if you have further queries.

Thanks

Re: Mapping of ERP Whn with EWM Whn

Hi,

It would required to maintain in both systems.

In ECC , to send the deliveries in to EWM with reference to plant, sloc& whn combination.

In EWM , we can map the WHNs along with the business system, since deliveries can process with reference to business system only.

Hi,

Here your deliveries are distributed to EWM through distribution model.but the connectivity from ECC is to maintain with mapping of the WHN only.

Did you complete the delivery processing including putaway?.or only looking into delivery distribution.

With the WHN connectivity , we can use WHN specific parameters...like batch management, serial numbers etc..

Hello Experts,

We want to create 2 activity area :

1. Putaway for small parts -  SP

2.Putaway for large parts - LP

Here some bins are used by both activity area and we  have define  different consolidation group for both storage Type.

Which consolidation group system will prefer for during putaway for common bins ?

Hi,

"ERP: SPRO>Integration with other mySAP.com Components>EWM>Assign Warehouse Number to Warehouse Number of Decentralized SCM System."

This part is not technically necessary for deliveries or any communication actually. It is only be used in the CIF - but it is very recommendable, as it reduces the quantity of data transfered.

For details how this works, see this document:Material / Product master data in SAP EWM (Part 1)

Details are described somewhere in the middle, around picture 5.

The other mapping is absolutely necessary.

Hi,

Did you maintain the AA at entire storage type level or some specific bins according to aisles, stacks and levels?

Did you maintain any common AA , with combination of bins from both storage types?

Consolidation groups pulled ( maintained ) according to AA & bin combination.

Depends on the sort sequence per acitivity per AA , system can search. Here activity is the put away.

Hi Rajeev,

Are you using default print profile 'or' your own?

if you are using your own profile..you can implement your own profile determination in the BAdi

/SCWM/EX_DLV_PRINT_PROFILE.

Hi Arjun,

No, I am not aware of any such 3rd party application. I don't believe there are any. You would have to build your own such application using the OPC_UA server SDK / open source OPC SDK.

Hi Juergen,

Thanks for the reply. This was actually what I initially wanted to configure as well. However, when I try to configure the Control cycle like this, I get an error message stating that the Source and Target storage location must be the same (see printscreen).

Any suggestions?

Hi Rajeev,

in BP transaction , there is a tab output management available.within that one field represent the

action, may be that setting is required.

Can you check one more setting in ERP against sales org ?

Re: How to validate ship to party.

Hi,

the standard system will do an existence check. It also does validations to check whether it can be expected that the partner can be processed in ERP as well. There is no need to program any validations on your own for that.

To use a field as a required field, you can use the incompleteness check (IMG -> EWM -> Cross-Process Settings -> Delivery - Warehouse Request -> Incompleteness Check). Again, the standard usually requires an entry anyway.

To develop a check using customer specific rules, you can use BAdI /SCWM/EX_DLV_VAL_SAVE or /SCWM/EX_DLV_VAL_VALIDATE.

Differences in batch management in IM, WM and EWM

$

Hello all,

Can you please advice on following -

Is there any difference in configuration, batch determination or use of batches in EWM when compared with IM and WM?

Is there anything unique behavior at application or additional capability that EWM brings over IM and EWM for batch management?

Regards,

Chaitanya

Hi,

ECC & EWM batch classification can connect through the organisational area along with class type.

in ECC class type is 023, but in EWM class type is 230.

to work with EWM batches , there are three mandatory characteristics need to be maintained

1. country of origin

2. expiry date

3. batch status.

When used with SAP ERP as the master system, it would  need to enable batch management in SAP

ERP as well as the SAP EWM system. Batches are managed centrally in the SAP ERP system as

the  master data system for batches. From SAP ERP, batches and classes/characteristics can be

distributed to all connected SAP EWM systems via the core interface framework (CIF). SAP EWM

allows creating or changing the batches locally in the system.

Hi Sunil,

This is inaddtion to CK reddy reply.

As said by him, when we execute sort transaction for bins per Whse.no/AA/Acitivity for the common bins, system will store the final sort sequence only. So lets say we executed sort sequence for LP at last, then this entry overwrites the previous sequence entry in table /SCWM/LAGPS. Hence consolidation group of LP only will be considered.

Thanks Katrin!

I am good from the ECC side now , but for EWM is there any way we can handle this situation for version 7.0.

Can scheduling RSQIWKEX and RSQOWKEX programs be useful in any way for this.

Thanks
