Hi!
It's depends on your business requirements.

Hi,
Normally companies can perform the product specific PI for highly valued products.
If companies want to coiunt area wise PI,they can maintain PI areas and perform the count across all the bins

You need to make the following changes Shashi:
1) Need to assign right combination of Activity Area and Activity to WOCR determination node in IMG-EWM>Master Data -> WO -> Rule to determine WOCR
2) Ensure right tick for HU creation is maintain in Pack Spec and Pack Profile ( 0BDL is maintained with right master data entries )
3) Ensure that you have assigned a start Bin to Activity Area in: SAP MENU -> Master Data -> Activity Area -> Assign start and end Bin to Activity Area
This will enable you to get create pick HU with WO creation.
Reward if useful !!

I'm also having this issue. I used layout oriented storage control. I have set up QIS step in the workcenter and assigned also the QIS for the warehouse in the process oriented storage control but I dont use storage process.
After Usage decision, the HU doesnt move from inbound section to outbound section and no putaway task is created.
i hope someone can help.
Dear Vijay,
i have actually the same problem.
Maybe you can tell me how you solved the Problem.
Best Regards Manuel
If you're going to do the effort to study and take the exam, it'd be much better to go for a more recent version, so I'd suggest EWM 9.0. If you need specific differences, check the links provided by Alex.
Daniel
Hi,
QIS step is in process oriented storage control it self.please let me know the configuration ,how you are working.

Hi,
Is it possible to create an inbound and outbound delivery request and order in EWM without reference to any ERP inbound and outbound delivery .
Dear Thirumalai,
I came across your post on integrate HU packing data of outbound delivery into ERP from EWM before PGI happens. I liked your idea of using ppf action. I have similar requirement. Can you please share more information on this. My personal mail id is manish1406@gmail.com

Hi All,
Thank you for your solution.
Now, we are setting for using "Advanced Production Integration" for production process.
But we have an issue about other goods issue such as goods issue to cost center with mvt. 201.
The process steps are;
1. Create reservation for mvt. 201 via MB21 in ECC.
2. Create outbound delivery reference to reservation via MIGO in ECC.
3. Outbound delivery is replicated to EWM but no reservation number. ==> WH guys would like to search outbound delivery from reservation number.
Please suggest for this case.

Peeraphat
Dear EWM Guru,
I change destination bin (change both storage type and bin) in warehouse task and input the exception code "CHBD".
But got the error message;
Message No. /SCWM/L3099
Please suggest.

Peeraphat

Hi,
we can't expect the automatic WT creation after completing the QIS step in work center. since it is not possible to complete the process step for HU in WC without POSC.
If you try to complete the HU, you can get the error as below.
Message no. /SCWM/UI_PACKING130
you can create WT manually to move the product for put away. this is the only option.

Hello John,
You have to activate ID point or Check Point for LOSC if you don't want make use of POSC.
However if you want system to create HU WT then you have to go with POSC.
Layout-Oriented Storage Control - SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) - SAP Library
