Re: Role of default staging area group and staging area in Door definition

Hi,

you mean you expected the table to be filled automatically in TA SCWM/STADET_IN? I would never think of that.

What does the documentation say?

"The system uses the standard staging area (and group) to find staging areas, if it cannot find any entries in the assignment table (see Assign Staging Area to Door)."

Now the link goes to another customizing table, and I actually believe that this is not the correct link. What I could think of is that if the system does not find anything in SCWM/STADET_IN that it then can find a standard staging area when you dock a TU to a door? Did you try any process with the settings you have done?

Juergen

Hello Juergen,

I expected the configuration to work in the same way as you mentioned.

I did not maintain any entry in SCWM/STADET_IN  and have maintained a default staging area in the configuration. Then i proceeded to manually assign the door in the IBD and expected the system to pick the default staging area from configuration. However I could not get that to work and the staging area remained blank.

New Outbound created if any one change Production order

Hi,

In Kitting, Whenever any user change any data in released Production order for example Date etc, system create another Outbound delivery to pick and stage material.

So for a one Kitting Production order, we have many outbound delivery which leads to over picking for Staging.

Hello Suraj,

I came across this post while trying to figure out the rule based determination of the destination storage type for couple of inbound Processes.

1>Is there are possibility to maintain a determination rule for packing in the inbound process. The rule maintained in /n/SCWM/PACKSTDT is specifically for the outbound process. if I want to move the material from loading to WC for packing is there an option to determine it via rules similiar to the outbound process instead of specifying it in the POSC.

2> Also for any VAS order if we specify the external step in the WC and the packaging specification and maintain the rule based check box in the POSC control will the system automatically determine the WC based on the external step assignment in WC and Packagng specification.

Thanks

Sand

Hello ,

I am trying to configure process of  Kit to stock. I have created BOM material and after releaseing production order system is creating Delivery type DOG which is getting replicated in SAP EWM.

In many references i have seen that delivery of type HOD is created. Can you tell me the difference between these two?

I have not created control cycle  for these materials?

Please guide

Thanks,

Pramod

Ans>> Try to explore WT generic filed in st type is it useful.

Ans >>Yes, with additional config,In this case maintain putaway  so that system can find where it has to go and find search sequence to get actual bin.

Hi!

You can create inbound delivery directly in EWM. When you post GR, it replicated to ERP.

Hello Garima,

Please check whether Expected Goods Receipt can help you out in this scenario.

if your query is that system create any other PID document then no but as a result of stock adjustment from EWM to ECC system post the material document with 711 / 712 movement type in ECC system

Hi Michael,

which user interface / transaction are you using ? The /SCWM/PRDO?

Do all items have the same UOM (KG) or do they have different UOMs?

Maybe you can also have a look at note 1475256 which describes a BAdI with which you can influence the weight/volume aggregation for the deliveries.

Best regards

Markus

Hi Markus,

thanks for your response.

Yes, it's the prdo.

Check all positions - on position level I got always weight in KG, requested qty is in pieces, alternative unit is case.

On header level it's also KG.

So I think I have to check the BAdI, or you have a different idea.

Thanks

Michael

Hello Alex,

We have one WT per one WO. So it is required to skip the WO, as in RF screen WT's are fetched based on WO's.

Hi Michael,

basically the item weight/volume is usually (if no catch weight, ...) calculated based on the IM/ALTER UOM. So in your case based on cases. The result for an item is x KG.

The header just sums the list of the weight/volumes of the items . So the sum of the volume/weight of all items.

It does not sum up the number of cases of the items and then calculate the header weight. It just sums up the already calculated weights of the items (wich are in KG).

Best regards

Markus

Please check the config in ECC

SPRO->Logistics Execution->Extended Warehouse Management Integration->Production Planning and Control->Define Delivery Type Determination

As per my understanding about your scenario, you want to trigger the outbound delivery( HOD) for consumption ( mov type 261) instead of DOG ( transfer mov type 411 ) at the time of Production Order release .

If yes , then Process will be P3 and delivery type HOD and movment type 261 need to be configure.

I have not tested the above scenario, hope it will work.

Thanks,

Ajit

Re: New Outbound created if any one change Production order

Hi Pardeep,

It is standard behavior , Please check the below .

Taking Into Account Changes in the Production Order

During material staging via the WM-PP interface, the system takes the following changes into account:

  • Changes in product quantities
  • Changes in assembly part quantities
  • Material changes
  • Changes to the work center
  • Technical completion of production order
  • Cancellation of technical completion
  • Change in storage location or plant
  • Change to batches (see

Pick Parts)

  • Changes to dates/times

Example

The system cancels, for example, all superfluous transfer requirements (TRs) for pick parts, or triggers a follow-on request for missing quantities via a new TR.

Material Staging - Warehouse Management System (WMS) - SAP Library

In EWM, It is Outbound delivery instead of TRs.

As per my opinion, We do enhancement in such a way that Out delivery should not created many  for changes in production order.

1> Control after release , user can not change any thing in production order or need special authorization to change .

2> WM staging triggered for some specific condition to create delivery .

Thanks,

Ajit

EWM: How to remove LkDe PORT status from Handling Unit

$

Hi,

I am having issues to remove the LkDe PORT status from a Handling Unit that is empty; according to the user and I confirmed on the HU movements history, this HU was never packed nor added to an Outbound Delivery.

Now we can't neither pack the HU nor delete it as the system is not allowing us to do anything with it.

Error messages:

"Delete HU" is not allowed

"HU Status" prohibits change

The HU is real and need to be physically packed and shipped.

Thanks in advance.

Re: VAS order with multiple items

Hello Atul,

I hope, you wont be able to do this. Because, Packaging Specification is required to get create VAS order. And, Packaging Specification is for each Material. So, obviously, you two VAS Orders will be get created instead of One.

If you can provide, your business scenario, SCN Forum can assist you with possible alternative solution.

Sathish
