Schenario 1: ECC Purchase Order and inbound dleivery created with batch and distributed to EWM. Inspection doucment is getting created succesfully as inpsection relevant parameters and master data is mainitained in EWM.
Schenario 2: ECC Purchase Order and inbound dleivery created without batch and distributed to EWM. Inbound delivery in EWM created with error. We manually input the batch. The inbound delivery turns green (error free). Inspection doucment is not getting created. The inspcection document neither getting created after GR posting of inbound delivery.
Kinldy share us your inputs on schenario 2 how to rectify the error.
Hi Malay,
Check your configurations for inspection document creation-at which point of time you have set up inspection document to be created i.e. at the time of GR or at the time of Warehouse Request/Inbound Delivery?
Also try to change setting for batch creation automatically in EWM at the time of Inbound Delivery instead of entering manually the batch number. Then try to run 2nd scenario again, let us know what happens.

Hi Yummy,
If your mapping are fine for document type and item type in Interfaces integration, then it should work. Check if you have missed to maintain the Sales Order BOM in ERP system in CS01 for the Header and Components
?
First of all in your Sales order itself item categories should be determined for Header and Components, check that as well.

Hi Anoop,
Thanks,
I think STSS for ST type 0050 should not be there since the system is replenishing for 0050. I have checked EMW 110 twice to make sure that this 0050 should be removed from STSS.
I have maintained REPL control as 1 (ST.Type Level) in ST.Type 0050 under Replenishment section.
Fixed bins have been assigned to the product
Still not sure why this error is coming,

Shashi
Hi Mohd,
If you have performed the configurations then system should show you the values maintained for finding type while taking decision in QIE.

Hi Danny,
I have the same issue.
I have put the installation: ZZ9_100 same as the business system ZZ9_100 ZZ9CLNT100. but it is not working.
how did you solve this issue?
I'm creating the inspection lot in EWM, but when I check the delivery inbound queue in ECC, it does not have an inspection lot number there.
I believe EWM is not passing the information.
many thanks in advance for your help
Natalia
I am not asking what is the difference between WM and EWM.
Hi,
have you entered the finding type in the inspection rule? Not sure that it works without that assignment.

The shortcome depends on the customers requirements. Can WM do what they need or not?
"They just want to mange the stock by storage bin level in the system." Then WM is probably the right solution. EWM is more effort, but you implement it when you need the additional functionality.

Thanks!
I wanted this kind of answer.
Hi,
Surely if they are your customer they are looking to you to supply information on these topics. How can you advise on WM vs. EWM if you don't know yourself?
Everyone who has worked with WM or EWM will have differing opinions on whether it is good or bad, and it will almost always be dependant upon a combination of the customer's requirements and the capability of the implementing partner. With the right knowledge and experience, both WM and EWM can be made to work really, really well for customers. I'd want to know why your own consultants think WM is not very good - if that is the case why are you considering selling it to a customer?
This situation doesn't sound like it will end with a good outcome, given the information you have shared so far.
Cheers,
G.
You are absolutely right!
No body could answer why WM is not good neither from client nor our team.
Just complaining. Whereas business wants to do this really in the system (SAP in this case)
So I stop proving how WM could be bad. Instead, I will come up with the solution how WM could improve their business.
Thanks!
Hello Experts,
I am trying to create WT automatically in system once GR is posted for putaway.I have done following settings for PPF action-
1) For document type INB and Category PDI, action profile /SCWM/PDI_01
2)In action definition /SCWM/PDI_01_WT_CREATE for action profile /SCWM/PDI_01, options selected-
-Processing when saving document
-Schedule automatically
3)Determination procedure 0DWTP assigned to action profile /SCWM/PDI_01 for my warehouse with doc type and cat INB,PDI respectively
4) Condition record maintained for-
Application:DPP
Maintenance Group-DLVW
Maintenance Context: GCM
Condition Type:0ODWT
Action Definition: /SCWM/PDI_01_WT_CREATE
Doc Type: INB
GM Sts : NSFI
Warehouse XXXX (One relevant to my process)
Valid From MAY 2015 to Dec 9999
When I create a delivery and post GR,System is not triggering PPF action.Attaching SLG1 log.

Hi Jiro,
I am not commenting about which one is better WM or EWM.
of-course, EWM is new Warehouse management module so it have some added functionality to manage and movements of goods within Internal and outside of warehouse premises.
Below is the functionality related differences:
Jiro
SAP will not develop any new functionality for WM in future. It will remain as is. So if you growth in future you want to consider that.

Hi Kushboo
I did not find any issue in above setting but I will prefer in below way.
I will say first test same delivery without automation and there should not be any manual inputs while creating wt. you will just go to del and following function and create wt and save. this for testing you all putaway and other procedure of finding a bin is working good.
Then >>use same action and create a copy of wt action and /SCWM/PDI_01_WT_CREATE in wizard in customization.
-Processing when saving document
-Schedule automatically
then make this action as active and sap STD action as inactive.
then now use same scheduling and other parameter as IDR TO ID action. as it is one of the standard action and working for all.
check this link to get automatic
https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000309842013E.PDF
Check >>4.2.5 >>Automatic Putaway Warehouse Task Creation. in this document
Please let me know if it do not work. But I will always say work first without condition and then with condition.
