SAP QM-EWM - Inspection Lot not generated in ECC

$

Hi Gurus,

Need your advice with QM-EWM integration.

We are trying to generate an Inspection lot "01" in ECC while using EWM as our Warehouse.

Material is not HU managed so the trigger of IL should be via Good Receipt. If material is HU managed the inspection lot trigger is via Inbound delivery HU assignment.

The following has been done:

  • Material is QM active "01" not HU set up in ECC
  • Material is assigned to an Inspection Plan in ECC
  • We do not have QIE in place
  • SLOC used does not require HU

Below is the process.

  • Purchase Order is created in ECC
  • Inbound delivery is created in ECC and distributed in EWM
  • GR happens in EWM and reflects in ECC

The question now is it possible to generate an Inspection lot in ECC even if GR happens in EWM? w/o EWM the scenario is generating Inspection lots.

Hi Sreenivasa,

1. The issue with updation of stock back to ECC could be because of some missing links/ config. You will have to check this in SMQ1/ SMq2/ SLg1 as suggested by Shriharsha. You can post a screenshot of the log in case you need more help on this.

2. You can setup automatic creation of inbound delivery for replenishment deliveries. System creates an inbound delivery in the receiving plant with respect to the outbound delivery based  on output determination procedure. To enable this, maintain output type SPED in the output determination procedure assigned to delivery type NL.

LE --Shipping -- Basic shipping functions --Output Control --Output Determination --Maintain Output Determination for Outbound Deliveries

Based on the above setup, system will automatically create an inbound delivery in receiving plant when you post GI in the supplying plant. You can then complete putaway activities in the EWM receiving plant wrt this inbound delivery.

Re: EGR UoM is not same as PO UoM

Hi Alex

Thank you very much for your quick reply. EWM Version I am using is 9.1; so I found it working.

But, if I use that indicator mentioned above for the GRN item configuration, I also need to fix my stock keeping units in the config node EWM-> Master data -> Product -> Define unit of measure attributes.

If I fix my stock keeping units, my EGR units will always be same irrespective of my order units.

My requirement is very simple, whatever is my order units, the same should flow into my EGR document if I push that PO to EWM system.

Would you please help me if you have any thought over this.

Thank you

Hi!

If I fix my stock keeping units, my EGR units will always be same irrespective of my order units

Why do you think so?

You need create in EWM all posible AUoM and mark them as SUoM

Hi Alex

I found it working after maintaining all of my order units to the config node EWM-> Master data -> Product -> Define unit of measure attributes.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

"The question now is it possible to generate an Inspection lot in ECC even if GR happens in EWM? w/o EWM the scenario is generating Inspection lots."

No. You need to have the QIE to trigger the inspection lot creation in ECC.

"We do not have QIE in place"

This is the first thing you need.

Somewhere here in this space I thought is also a document describing how to set it up - but could not find it right now.

Hi Suraj,

do you mean the SLG1 with the log? Or there is any other possibility to log the creation of the wharehouse tasks?

Hi Denis,

ok, the log clearly shows the the first part of the search is already failing, the system can not find a storage type search sequence.

What Petr wrote below, there is a missmatch between the other screenshots.

In this one:

Unbenannt.JPG

it shows WHPT P900,

this one:

Unbenannt.JPG

shows WHPT P211. So you need to check the determination of the storage type search sequence.

A: you do not need to use ALL fields. The WHPT is enough.

B: check the table "optimization of the access sequence for the storage type search sequence.". In there you need an entry for the field combination you have maintained and you want to have found.

Hi Juergen,

Finally I have resolved my requirement. I modified the "Stock type role" data element and added a new role which I mapped to custom stock type. In the warehouse control I configured the custom stock type as preferred one. Also include the custom stock type in "Stock determination" group.

Thanks for support

Re: Skip FIFO logic

Hi All ,

Skip FiFO Logic is working .

We have used Stock determination group and assigned the stock determination to warehouse Product .

Apart from that we made sure the warehouse control parameter is having replenishment storage type is F3,

Goods Issues process : Sort Field Reference is given as Score and then the GR date , here the system will check for valuation points and then the GR date .

After this we need to give the search sequence as f2 and f3 stock type with new stock removal rule .

I create a new stock removal rule ZFIF and then mapped to warehouse.

Configured the stock type with op - open pallets for stock removal .

During testing  the replenishment task triggered  F3 and then F2 stock type  .

Thank you all for your support on this .

There is no need to exception code to skip fifo strategy .

This can be achieved through standard configuration .

Thanks

Hi All

Is there any way to reverse/cancel the GR document posted for an inbound delivery which is already closed by warehouse task confirmation.

Thank you in advance.

No this cannot be achieved.

You need to follow vendor return process.

Thanks for Smitha & Harsha on your reply,

I didn't see any logs in SMQ1, SMQ2 & as well as in SLG1 in both the system, seems Inbound delivery is not creating and the status of the  Outbound delivery shows as "Open". I will check the Output determination mentioned by Harsha and check if it goes.

Trying to execute the VL71 in debug mode to see what is missing.

Thanks

Sreenivas

Hi Sreenivas,

If you don't find the entries in the logs or queues, also check the PPF tab of the delivery. What is the state of PPF action, is it successful? If no, then the PPF log will provide you the error details. I suspect if no stuck entries then it should be problem with the PPF.

You can reverse GR until Inbound delivery is closed. (DCO status set to 9).

DCO status set to 9 right after the last putaway WT confirmation, EXCEPT if you did customize "completion delay" for your inbound delivery type/item type: This gives you time to modify putway/GR qty after putaway completion.

Here is SAP explanation of EWM completion delay:

Confirmation Correction - SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) - SAP Library

Hope this helps

How to transfer Customized Field Values to EWM through CIF

$

Hi,

We have developed one customized view in the material master in ECC 6.0. In that view, there is one customized field whose value needs to be transferred to EWM system using CIF (Core Interface). From the functional point of view, do we have to make any configuration for the interface for that customized field? Please suggest the configuration steps so that the customized field value should be transfered to EWM.

Thanks
