Re: How to integrate EWM and inbound process with transportation?

Re: Scenario-ECC system is down but still can run the warehouse operations in EWM

Hi Ganesan,

if the queue is restarting all postings should be processed. If you do not have the job for queue restart running you may need to restart them manually in EWM (SMQ1). Beside that no manual action is needed.

Best regards,

Christian

Hello Ganesan,

If the system is down, Queues will be stopped processing for that period of time. Once the ECC is up, the queues will start processing. If not, you can reset the status of queues, then they will be processing immediately.

Hi Ganesan

Thanks for reply. In action definition, there are some settings related to partner. What are they and how we can use them for smartforms printing?

Dear Suraj

Thanks for your reply. What I was trying to say is instead of creating a new screen can we reuse existing screen & its functionality and enhance it as per our requirements? Check-boxes in customization won't help our requirement. Also need desktop screen not RF screen.

Configure Pick-point in EWM

Hi All

I have followed steps given in SAP Help to configure Pick-point scenario.

Pick Point - SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) - SAP Library

I am able to do

- pick from source storage type and place HU in pick point

- pick required quantity from pick point and move it to GI area

But there is no task created for moving left over stock at pick point. Also the instructions in above link for re-transfer of HU are not clear to me. Could you please add more details on it?

Thanks

RF Screens are not appearing properly on RF handheld scanner device

Hi All

We are using intermec/honeywell handheld RF devices. When we view the page in RF device the content is not exactly fitting into device screen area. It is appearing as it appears on desktop browser. Do we need any special browser like wavelink?

Also we have devices of different varieties of screen sizes. Instead of creating different profile for each device can't we automatically adjust screen for the device?

Thanks

Hi

Hope you have 2 or more product and they are going to different activity area which diff consolidation group.

The you have sorted your bins and your other config related to decon is correct.

you can activate log /SCWM/ACTLOG - Activate Application Log.

Check SMQ2 if any queue is stuck with HU no.. If stuck check error log in SLG1 and paste here.

Check with new del and mat for next process with packed HU.

Have you created a work center for the pick point? From there you trigger the return of the HU. I have never found a way to automize that (yet).

Define the work center in customizing. In there you find a field for the return process type, you can also define a return storage type and section. When you log into the work center, there is just a special icon.

The documentation is a little bit confussing, i agrre. It refers to in the first part that the HU, as it is not full anymore, is now stored in a different storage type. But why this should be with fixed storage, is not clear to me.

Dear Juergen

Yes, I have created workcenter for pickpoint. Return Transfer is disabled. Any reasons why it is not enabled?

- Storage type has the correct role?

- Return process type entered in the work center?

These are the things coming in my mind.

Dear Juergen

Yes, I had given correct role but missed to mention return process type. After entering it, the button was enabled. When I enter both process and return storage type, section priority was given for st.type, st.section entered. Thanks, now I am able to execute the scenario completely.

However I am not able to do it using RF. Whenever I login into pick point work center using RF, I see the same options again like 1. login into work center, 2. create single hu 3. pick point 4. HU maintennance.

Option 2 is not needed for me to initiate return transfer. option 3 is saying there are no open tasks. option 4 is change/transfer contents etc.. which is also not relevant.

Is there anyway to initiate return transfer using RF?

Thanks

Hi ,

In my case i have not maintained as decentralised one.

also the thing is  there is no warehouse house  data managed over here .the requirement is when connected to extended warehouse  the system has to create inspection lot after the GR has done ,

whereas in normal scenario everything is normal,

can you please suggest what should be done in this case.

Also if possible can you please tell me what from the scratch so that it will be helpful to come through .

Hello,

I am looking for information for updating the Process codes (Inbound Delivery, ex I004 Reject inbound delivery ) can be set for multiple deliveries. Looking for FM or a report program which can be used to update..

Tried BDC method but can't be used to update the data.. Is there any other way, BAPI or a report program which can set the desired process code by executing the report/FM.

Thanks,

Puneet

Hi Sousa

If you see in your reference when they use 16X20 the screen size that appears on local desktop browser is similar to that of handheld device screen size. In my case, I am using system default size which 8X40, used MOBILE4 Style for template generation and it appearing as below in local browser and handheld browser.

You have to check assignment of your plant and storage location to warehouse again. In one case you are saying its distributed in another case you are saying it is not warehouse managed. For extended warehouse you have to maintain inspection rule in EWM also, which will eventually create inspection document EWM and Inspection lot in ECC. There are multiple options available for handling quanlity inspection along with WM or EWM. You can explore on SAP help portal.
