Movement Type's in EWM

Hi EWM Guru's,

 

We need your advice asap on the following:

Due to recent migration , cutover and archiving and also hard ware issue's.
our SCM system have lot of stock difference's in between ECC and SCM.

We have performed inventory sync in between ECC and SCM to match the stock difference's in between both system's. But we have performed this activity many time's.

Now finance team is having issue's with inventory sync as account;s are affected.

So they requested a seperate movement type to use when ever we sync the stock with /SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK . now whenever we sync they will get 711 and 712.

But finance team need a seperate movement type 9** to do the inventory sync whenever we see a huge difference of stock's in between ecc and scm.

Please advice this can be achieved from configuration or we have to do custom development.

Page format for Pallet Label - BAR Code SSCC

Hi Experts,

 

i have a requirement to create pallet label on smartform.

 

my requirement is a 4 by 6 inches label to be printed for pallet . Please let me know if i have to specify a page format (other than default  DINA4).

 

Please share any information on this. Even the configuration to set up the pallet label smartform (HULabel).

You will have to map the new 9XX movement type in ERP to a process type in EWM. Try the following customizing location:

 

  • SCM Extended Warehouse Management
  • Extended Warehouse Management
  • Interfaces
  • ERP Integration
  • Goods Movements
  • Define Customer-Specific Movement Types

Hi Shashi,

 

I am also facing exact issue. If i remove my packing profile, it is picking my WOCR rule correctly. If put back the packing profile in WORC, then its picking “UNDE” not mine.

Please let me know how you solved your issue.

Warehouse Request Open Quantity Issue.

Hi Experts,

 

We are facing a typical issue due to system document flow inconsistency during cancellation of Warehouse Task for an ODO Item.

 

We are working on EWM9.2 with SP:002

 

Scenario:

 

My ODO#1  Quantity is 100

 

Step1: Create the warehouse task for full Qty/ partial qty of the ODO Item. System successfully generate the warehouse tasks.

Step2: Cancel Warehouse Tasks.

 

On cancellation of Warehouse Task, I should able to generate the task again right.

 

Neither we could able to new Create Warehouse Tasks or not able to Adjust the Quantities to Zero for delivery closing.

 

But due to the system inconsistency the Document Flow of the ODO item is not updated for DocCat: TOR(Cancel Warehouse Task).

 

How do we correct this document flow inconsistency. Is there any SAP Note available.

 

Kindly let me know please.

If don't help correct table /scdl/db_df

Quality Inspection :Target stock attributes do not match the target default values

Hi ,

 

Currently working on quality inspection process .

 

I have done all the necessary configuration but I am facing with the below error .

 

1.Generated the objects

2.Assigned to warehouse independent inspection object type

3.Crated the indexes

4.activated the sample type

5.activated the item type

6.activated the decision codes

7.Maintain the follow up action

 

But still I am getting the below error when I am rejecting the HU with UD Reject in the work center.

 

Not sure what is the setting I am missing .

I am also facing the same issue. Were you able to find any possible way to overcome this issue?  If we maintain Generic Business System like ERP_001 and use the same under installation, will this be solved?

Hi,

OK, what do you use replenishment for?

You want to pick only from one or from certain storage types. From other storage types (like a high rack, where access is more time consuming, especially if you do not need a full pallet), you move material triggered through the replenishment process into these pick storage types.

 

Now planned replenishment is practical when you have a certain number of products you need for your picking. Means you have maybe 100 or 200 products and you need most of them quite regularly. So you probably use a fixed bin storage type and each product has one or two assigned bins. You replenish when a certain minimum is reached and you can continue picking.

 

Assume the number of products is different. You have 1000 or more different products. Because of the huge number of different products a fixed bin storage type might not be practical. Every day you do not need all of these, but different ones. Certain material you only needs maybe once a week. So for this you check every day based on the orders which products you need and then you replenish them just in the quantity you need for the orders. That works with a fixed bin storage, but eventually a storage type with next empty bin strategy is better suited.

Again, both strategies work with fixed bins or not-fixed bins.

 

Makes sense?

P.S. actually, although is is called "order" related, is is actually delivery based. Because you use the warehouse requests, which are deliveries.

I understood every single thing you have explained and you have tried your best.

 

But still i am not clear benefit and requirement of using order related replenishment over creating a WT for delivery from /scwm/prdo screen.

 

Say i have created a delivery document and stock is available in multiple bins(putaway-next empty bin).

 

Ain't it much easier to create a WT from /scwm/prdo screen for picking rather than running /scwm/repl transaction ? Why shall one go to different screen after creating a delivery ? In both the cases stock is being picked from same bins .

 

I hope you have understand my point of view.

Stock stuck in 1Q

All,

 

I have a problem in a PRD system.

 

An inspection type 17 was used for incoming inspection. The Inspection Plan uses a fixed sample size of 1.  The inspection lot was created in ECC. The results recording and Usage Decision was done in ECC. The corresponding inspection document was updated with the UD code ACC with follow up action putaway. The stock is stuck in status 1Q despite the fact that the usage decision was done. This is happening for one out of the 10 HU's on the inbound delivery.

 

Question:

 

1. How do i move the stock from 1Q to 1F? The transaction code /SCWM/POST will not allow me to do this giving an error message that the stock is stuck in quality inspection

 

2. Has anyone seen this behavior in EWM-QIE?

 

I have also raised an OSS note with SAP. This incident has gone to the development team in Germany.

Sample drawing procedure in EWM

Hello Folks,

 

I am working on mapping sample drawing procedure in EWM system. Have been looking for guidance online for a while. Can someone help me with step by step guidance on how this can be achieved.

 

On configuration side-

How are Item types and finding types mapped from ECC to EWM ?

How are dynamic modification rules linked to these?

Any other important mapping that needs to be in place ?

 

On Master Data Side-

What and how it needs to be maintained?

I am not a QM expert so detailed help would be really appreciated.

I also wonder if you should be selecting the option to Create Expected Goods Receipts instead of Update Expected Goods Receipts.

I checked all your mention points it is correct.

 

1. Plant/storage location whether relevant for Warehouse. - Yes

 

2.Delivery date in Process Order -  Its current date and same date executing EGR.

 

3.Whether Process Order is released or not - Released...

 

 

Kindly please let me know if there is any config is there specific for EGR.

Actually i am new in EWM, I am following one standard document for this configuration and all, So there GR process on production order following steps are given as i mentioned.

 

I also wondering, initially its was working fine, But now some config got changed so it is doesn't working.

 

If you can give some highlight in the same, please share your knowledge.

How to determine the WO where a given HU is assigned to?

Hello experts,

 

I would like to know how I can find out if a given HU is assigned to a WO as a pick HU? Can the warehouse monitor be used to get that information or is it just available on database level?

The following OSS notes need to be implemented to fix this:

 

EWM-QIE notes

 

2101237 Decoupling inspection document from EWM follow up processing

2134159 UD:”Stock posting Change” follow up action is not executed

2159984 Successful decision follow up processing returns to the queue

2200250 Sample item reference remains in stock

 

Fix stock in 1Q

 

1883065- ZQI_REFERENCE_REMOVE fixes the reference of stock in 1Q . After executing this report with the warehouse number and inspection document and entires check SCWM/AQUA and SCWM/QUAN entries in the output . First run this report in the simulation mode. Then use SCWM/POST to move the stock from 1Q to 1F.

 

These notes fixed the bug and corrected stock in EWM-QIE.
