Re: EWM - Issue assigning Inbound Delivery to TU

$

Hello Nikhil,

this means that the TU and the delivery expect the transport-delivery assignment to come from somewhere else. For example the TU is created locally and the inbound delivery expects a message from ERP or TM.

See IMG activity EWM -> Goods Receipt Process -> Inbound Delivery -> Integration with Transportation -> Define Transportation Planning Type

There is a similar IMG activity for the outbound process.

You will also find documentation at help.sap.com/ewm

Katrin

Hi,

It seems, you have maintained the 'Mixed Storage in HU' with the value '1' ( Mixed Storage Not Allowed ),

Impact of this indicator is ' A handling unit in a storage bin can only contain one product and one batch (one quant) '.

Could you please check the HUs , either these are with same products and batches. If these are the mixed HUs ( different products  'or' same product with different batches ), system tried to find the Bins to store the relevant ones in one bin as per the putaway rule addition to existing stock.

Hi,

Can you try with removing the 'Split During Putaway' and  ' early capacity check ' ?

Actual these can impact on quantities, but any how check once, either these are restricting...

But ' mixed Praties Ent ' filed should be blank,

  • Goods receiving point (shipping point) when a delivery is created in decentralized WM.

Hi Nikhil,

Are you trying to get the TU in EWM through shipment document in ERP ?

If you are not planning the transportation in ERP 'or' EWM, just maintain the 'no obligatory planning ' for transportation planning type against the document category & document type in your warehouse.

Here is the path,

Spro-Img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Goods Receipt Process-Inbound Delivery-Define Transportation Planning Type (Inbound)

TP.png

And also maintain the entry in ' Allow EWM Execution Without Transportation Planning (Inbound) '.

Hi Abhishek,

If your vendor not a plant vendor ( STO process ), then you can create a new customer and assign it to vendor master.

If its plant vendor , it would required to maintain the shipping data with the customer master.

Doc Types and number range

Hi Gurus,

How the document types and number range works in ewm

Can we assign different ecc document type to single document type i.e

EL - INB
DIG - INB
SRCL- INB etc..

And can we make use of single internal/external number range in ewm for above combination.

Is there anything that we have to take care in ewm for maintaining number ranges for above combinations.

Thanks in advance.

Sunil

Hi Sunil,

with the combination of business system, we can map the ERP document types to the EWM document types,

here is the path to get the mapping

Img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Interfaces-ERP Integration-Delivery Processing-Map Document Types from ERP System to EWM

once after converting ECC document type in to EWM document type, it can pick the number range from the below table,

Img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Goods Receipt Process-Inbound Delivery-Manual Settings-Define Document Types for Inbound Delivery Process

in the EWM system, you can find the only one NR for INB, which is mapped to several ERP document types.

Hi Sunil,

Number ranges for deliveries (warehouse requests) can be maintained in SPRO under:

Extended Warehouse Management->Cross-Process Settings->Delivery - Warehouse Request->Number Ranges.

Here you can for example find entries for "Define No. Range Intervals for Inbound Deliveries and Outbound Del. Orders". As you can see there is only one entry, which means this is not delivery document type dependant.

Also these customizing steps have documentation. There it is also stated that only internal numbering is available for inbound deliveries/outbound delivery orders.

In case of the requests (outbound delivery request,...) they get the ERP numbers.

Best regards

Markus

In the selection screen of /SCWM/SLOT, section of slotting steps, you need to activate the flag: Update requirement quantity.

Hello Sunil,

Yeah you can have single ewm delivery document for multiple ecc delivery document types.

You will do the assignment below :

EWM > Interfaces > ERP Integration > Delivery Processing

Map Document Types from ERP System to EWM

Map Item Types from ERP System to EWM

Here you map the different erp doc/items type to single ewm doc/item types .

Please let me know if you have more queries .

Olet
