Hello Juergen and Petr,
Thankyou for all your help but I still have a few questions.
Ok let m try asking all questions in one go.-
First time my system worked fine with all the settings mentioned above.
Next time to understand system behavior I did following changes-
Cap consumption in product master 5
Total bin cap in storage bin master=55
Fixed bin capacity for product =11
Available stock in bin =11
St type tab had max qty=10EA
system still allowed 2 more quantity in bin.
I have many doubts arising now-
1)How does capacity consumption field in Product master unit of measure tab impact bin capacity determination?
2) Initially everything worked as expected but later on when I played around with bin cap and capacity consumption factor it didn't work as per same logic. Does that mean changing bin capacity once stock is in bin can cause inconsistency?
3) From my understanding Cap consumption= Total bin cap/Bin cap. for product in fixed bin
but at one point Juergen you asked me why am I maintaining bin capacity twice(in storage bin master and in fixed bin assignment for product).Does that mean what I understand about cap. consumption calculation is wrong?
I hope I ll be more clear on system behavior once you enlighten me
Regards,
Khushboo
Hi,
1)
Simply when you putaway 1pc of product with capacity consumption 5. Bin capacity is decreased by 5.
2)
Yes. Pls. read:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_em70/helpdata/en/32/c29e423ef70831e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
3)
Capacity consumption = Bin capacity / quantity of product, which fits in there in BUoM
Regards,
Petr
here "quantity of product"is the delivery quantity right? Max qty is considered from which place?
1) Storage bin master data?
2) Max qty maintained in fixed bin for product?
3)Or max qty maintained in st type tab of product master?
What is the order system in which system checks max qty?

Khushboo
Hello experts. I'm trying to set a new cockpit object but I don´t know where I define the reference values to be displayed in the cockpit, and another point is how can I define in the selection criteria input the variation "from" and "until" for the same field?
Can you try option for creation of task and confirm the task. Check status update after this.
Check your mapping of your storage locations.

Hi,
Normally you can perform posting change with direction transaction /n/scwm/post. I am not clear the best way mean..can you elaborate your question.

Hi Juergen,
If I don't activate a form of capacity check but
1) Select "Check Max.St.TypeQty" in storage type master data and maintain a max qty in st type tab of product master.
Will system still be able to check capacity and propose a surplus bin based on my putaway strategy?

Khushboo

That also is a form of capacity check. Not very practical, but ok if you have just one fixed bin for each material.
System will propose the next storage type.

Hello Experts,
I have configured production integration with EWM warehouse, components supplying and production supply areas are assigned to EWM warehouse for all type of control cycles. So, i have created, released and staged production order successfully - it is creating outbound delivery with DOG delivery type and DOGN item category , but not distributing to EWM , because of incorrect Ship to party determination .
How can i fix this issue , please suggest me on this.
Hello,
did you please maintain the Shipping data in ECC:
Purchase Order - Set up Stock Transport order - Set up Stock Transport order Between Storage Locations - Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations
For a plant and storage location maintain the "Customer" field as ship-to-party. You need to create the customer if you do not have it yet.
I assume the customer must be assigned to your production storage location where you stage to. Then the customer must be CIFed to EWM:

Hi guys, I need a little help here.
Every time the quality department post the usage decision through QA32, the system performs the 321 movement type transferring the material from quality to unrestricted use. Although the material is transferred from quality to unrestricted use at the same time, the system creates a delivery (posting change) that remains open in EWM.
My doubt is: why we need the posting change in EWM if the status change (321 movement type) was already done in ECC and also in EWM. Or why the system perform the movement if the delivery (posting change) in EWM is still open?
Which is the right way to work?
1. After the posting of QA32, the system should create a posting change in EWM and wait until the processing is completed, then transfer the result to ECC;
2. The system performs the movement type 321, changes both systems and does not create the delivery (posting change) in EWM.
And why I have a mix of both processes?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
If you have EWM in landscape, every movement of product within EWM managed storage location would trigger delivery creation if you trigger it in ECC.
For you case, you have options as below:
1) perform posting change in EWM ( /scwm/post), it will update ECC/EWM stock in one step without posting change delivery
2) perform posting change in ECC, and set up system so that the posting will happen automatically without intervention.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
not a super QM/QIE expert. But can you give some details of your inspection document? What is the inspection type? Because if the inspection document is created through the QIE, it should when you enter the usage decision trigger the posting change in EWM and this again trigger the posting back to ERP. There should no delivery be created by ERP in that case.

Hello,
if I understand the problem correctly, you receive communication of goodsmovement before you fully process the posting change inside the EWM. Can you please elaborate more on what is your delivery type and how did you configure your ERP interface regarding posting changes?
Please - if you use QIE, ignore my question.
Petr
Maybe this can help you.
Hi Juergen,
Thanks for the explanation.
Is it possible to split the WT as per the packaging specification qty (assuming we have 1 level packing) but not create a HU?
I am looking for a functionality similar to LE qty in WM without HU management. I am using EWM 7.2
Thanks,
Najmuddin
Hi Victoria, thanks for the information.
I think here it’s missing the second option. Because the posting change in ECC already happened and the posting change (the document that I can see through transaction /SCWM/IM_PC) remains open in EWM.
Could you tell me where I can set up the system to avoid the posting change creation in EWM?
Thanks
